Summary:
With approximately a third of Buckinghamshire’s Lapwing and Redshank, the marshes of College Lake have become a very important habitat for waders. A key part of these marshes are the various islands in the middle. These provide both safe nesting sites that deter most terrestrial predators and have shallow muddy margins that contain a variety of invertebrates for feeding on.
